Create short URLs the way you want - customize each link by back-half or QR Code.
Easy to use
Find an intuitive layout and creation process when getting started.
Free support
Full featured knowledge base, FAQ's and tooltips baked into the platform.
Space-saving
URL shortening compresses long URLs into shorter ones, saving space when sharing links in character-limited platforms like Twitter or SMS.
Enhanced readability
Long URLs can be cumbersome and difficult to read or remember. Shortened URLs are concise and more visually appealing.
Tracking and analytics
For paid subscribers, we offer analytics reports and views that track the number of clicks, geographic location of users, referral sources, and other metrics. This data can be invaluable for understanding the effectiveness of marketing engagements or tracking the reach of shared content.
Customization
With a paid subscription, Linksaw affords users the ability to customize the shortened URL domain as well as the back-half or code to reflect their brand or the content being shared. This increases brand visibility and recognition.
Link management
We provide features for managing and organizing your shortened links, such as categorization, editing, or deleting links as you see fit.
QR codes
Linksaw offers basic QR Codes for each shortened URL, and with a paid subscription, we offer dedicated QR Codes with a variety of customizations and payloads.
Link redirection
Shortened URLs can be configured to redirect users to different destination URLs over time. This flexibility can be useful for A/B testing, directing traffic to different landing pages, or updating destination URLs without changing the shortened link.
Security
We offer security features such as link expiration, password protection, and click-time malware detection to protect end-users from malicious links.
About
The idea for Linksaw has been around for about two decades. The concept emerged in the late 1990s to address the issue of long and unwieldy URLs, especially in contexts such as email or on social media platforms where character limits were a concern. One of the earliest URL shortening services, TinyURL, was launched in 2002. It allowed users to input a long URL and receive a much shorter version that redirected to the original URL when clicked.
Since then, URL shortening services have become increasingly popular, with many new services emerging over the years. They are widely used on platforms like X (twitter) where character limits are strict, as well as in other contexts where concise and shareable links are desirable. While the basic concept remains the same, URL shorteners have evolved to offer additional features such as link tracking, analytics, and custom branding. Linksaw is no different, we just want to offer a robust suite of services without charging an arm and a leg.
